Flowergirl trial
A month before MX was due to scatter rose petals for Bin's wedding, I did a trial makeover for her. Just to see how it goes so that I will not fumble on the actual day.
Sheesh.... hehee... she looks very pretty and pleased.

Doodling in the balcony
MX had fun doodling in our tiny balcony. I specifically wanted dark tiles here for this reason - the dark tiles allow
her to doodle with coloured chalk.
Here's how our pattern masterpiece turned out.

I, I, I
It's midweek... MX and I were working on her homework from her Little Bear Club.
I went through some words that beings with the 'i' sound with her but I could only manage a few that starts with that sound... e.g. igloo, iguana, ink...
So, I decided to go ahead and introduce some long vowel 'i' to her... e.g. island, ice-cream, ice...
So, when we were ready to start drawing some pictures
that starts with the 'i' sound...
Me: Ok, what can you draw for the letter 'I'?
Mx: Iguana...
So Mx drew an iguana.
Me: What is another picture that you can draw for the
letter 'I'?
Mx: I am tired.
me: Just a minute, we are gonna be done soon.
Mx: I AM TIRED.... 'I', 'I', 'I'
.
Me: Oh! 'I am tired' starts with the letter 'I'!
So, I helped her spell what she wanted and completed
her work; along with a little note to the teacher in case
she hits the roof.

Princess & the Pea bed
Good news for me. MX didn't get upset when she saw the Princess and the Pea bed that I made for her. Phew!
My strange kid, she doesn't know how to handle her emotions.
Whenever I surprise her with a gift... a dress, shoes... or her princess cake, she ends up sulking and crying over it. Makes me wonder if she is touched or upset.
To make myself feel better, I conclude that she just needs time to learn how to handle her emotions.
MX chose Angelina the mouse to be her princess. The mouse's legs are sticking out of the bed but MX seems to like it just the same.
Made her 8 mattresses to stack up high, just like in the story.
MX folded her blue headband and made it into a pillow for Angelina.
Her other lil' animals get a treat on the mattresses as well.
I love you, MX (",)
MX and Kai
MX: When I grow up, I will have a husband.
Me: What kind of husband would you like? Someone like Papa?
MX laughed... and said: When I grow up, Kai will be my husband.
Me: But you are always complaining about Kai.
MX: It's ok, his mummy will teach him well without talking loudly. She will speak to him nicely and teach him how to be a good husband. Uncle Hwee Hong, Big Ee Mama and his Po po will all teach him.
MX and Kai had a great day together, without complains about each other.

Cinnamon roll and braided bread
MX and I embarked on our first baking project at our new place.
Kneading away...
slathering butter on the flattened dough...
sprinkling cinnamon and sugar on the dough...
Done!
Time to roll...!
Sealing the log with water.
Slicing the log with floss.
Pre-baking and waiting for the dough to rise once again.
While waiting for the dough to rise, I decided to teach MX how to braid using the leftover dough (",)
Our final products ... the braided bread
and the cinnamon roll (",)

Tod in Heels
There! I finally have pics of MX toddling around in heels :)
By the end of March, MX would no longer be considered a toddler. What will she be then?
A preschooler?
What if I do not send her to a preschool...?
Which human stage is she at then?
I am glad that I managed to take some pics of her as she got all excited over Bren's new heels. Tods Toddling in Heels are the type of photos that are a must in family albums (",) and I am glad I was around to capture this moment.
MX's thrilled and so is Kim (",)
